The requirements are two courses in linguistics or 6 credits of
linguistics in addition to your BA/BSc. Once you have this, you need to:
contact admissions at Brock Hall and request admission to diploma
program
they will contact the Diploma advisor
the Diploma advisor will give permission to admit you

What happens if I start as an unclassified student?
If you start as an unclassified student there should be no restrictions
on the courses you take except for prerequisites. If you are interested
in taking something for which you do not have the exact prerequisite,
keep in mind that prerequisites can be waived at the discretion of the
instructor.
Will courses taken during my unclassified status count towards my diploma once I am admitted into the diploma programme?
Yes, whatever you have taken as an unclassified student before being
admitted into the diploma programme counts towards your diploma.
